Senior Software Developer (Cloud - Fullstack) (f/m/d)

For the B. Braun New Ventures Team in Freiburg we are searching for a Senior Software Developer (Cloud - Fullstack) (f/m/d).

Duties and responsibilities

• You will be a key member of the Digital Surgery team working on a new product that expands our portfolio
• You develop web frontends comprising of medical images (CT scans or similar), 3D visualizations and video viewers that are used by medical professionals
• You work together with product owner and UI designer you establish the frontend of our new digital online products
• You structure your code clearly and apply state-of-the-art software design and software architecture approaches
• You work in a dynamic and agile team collaborating with other software developers as well as with software architects, system engineers, UX engineers, quality engineers and product owners
• You drive the quality of implementation and documentation through code and document reviews, release documentation, and continuous improvement of the software development process
• You offer mentorship and support to junior software developers, helping them to grow and develop professionally
• You never stop learning and are truly open minded
• You deliver on your commitments

Professional competencies

• You are a passionate programmer with several years of industry experience
• You have a strong background in cloud-based web application design and development using cloud providers, particularly Microsoft Azure
• You are hands-on experienced with Agile development processes (such as SCRUM) and have a deep understanding of software development lifecycle best-practices
• You are proficient in frontend frameworks (such as Angular, Vue, React, or similar) and in at least two general programming/backend languages (such as C#, Java, Go, Rust, Python, or similar)
• You know about code reviews, test-driven development and DevOps from experience
• Experience in the healthcare industry or any comparable field would be beneficial
• Experience with handling of medical images (DICOM), web-based 2D / 3D visualization or video streams (e.g. endoscopy) is desirable
