Position Summary

The EMEA Accounting team is looking for a highly motivated, dynamic finance professional to join our Controllership function. This team is focused on governance for Aptiv’s legal entities as well as leading key strategic projects and initiatives from a statutory and legal entity perspective.

The Senior Finance Manager for Switzerland is accountable for the financial oversight and management of US GAAP legal entity review and financial close, External Audit and Statutory Financial Statements. The role will also have responsibilities for Pillar Two governance for the group including driving the timely completion of all the EMEA statutory audits.

This is a critical role driving reporting excellence as part of the EMEA Controllership Team.

Your Role

  • Accounting Execution: Prepares and reviews complex accounting records in compliance with accounting policies and guidelines.
  • Control and Compliance: Reviews controls and ensures they are working in compliance with our internal control framework.
  • Maintain Accounting Policies: Researches and documents accounting standards, guidelines, and policies. Helps to field complex questions from business partners in alignment with accounting policies.
  • Pillar Two Governance: Serves as an escalation point of contact to resolve complex issues when governing Pillar Two requirements. Conducts day-to-day governance of Statutory Compliance in the region supported by a team of controllers to ensure statutory deadlines are met.
  • Process Improvement: Contributes to process-improvement efforts by collecting and reviewing business partner and team feedback and incorporating industry best practices.
  • Accounting Systems: Supports the set up of the finance function and infrastructure in Aptiv’s Swiss Office.
  • Your Background

  • An accountancy professional with at least 8 years experience, including public accounting at a Big 4 firm with a professional accounting certification such as ACCA or equivalent (ACA, CPA, CIMA;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required, M.S. in Accounting (or equivalent) strongly preferred;
  • Strong ability to develop initial positions / views to complex problems on their own;
  • Ability to work independently at times as well as closely and successfully with professionals of different backgrounds and cultures;
  • Strong time management and organization skills with the ability to manage a number of projects at any one time and deliver on commitments;
  • An ability to work as part of a dynamic leadership team to collaboratively solve complex problems innovatively;
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral) with the ability to interact well with people of various backgrounds and levels; and
  • Strong proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Strong proficiency in English , other European and Asian language skills a plus (we are a multinational, multilingual company, however English is the common language of our global team).
