As Division Controller, your objective is to collaborate with divisional management to enhance the division’s financial performance on a global scale in the short, medium, and long term. Key Responsibilities
- Project Controlling and Analysis: Manage project analysis for the Division, focusing on revenue and margin evaluations, including late costs, provisions, and foreign exchange impacts.
- Financial Close and Forecasting: Conduct monthly closing activities such as accruals, provisions, and foreign exchange analysis, and prepare revenue and margin forecasts for upload into the Cognos consolidation tool.
- Performance Review and Business Partnership: Participate in monthly Project Performance Review Meetings, providing detailed operational and financial analyses (e.g., WIP, ad-hoc). Act as a finance/controlling business partner for Project Management, supporting Business Stakeholders on financial matters.
- Support for Head of Controlling: Assist the Head of Controlling EMEA Division in preparing for monthly Operations Review Meetings and profitability analysis by segment, product line, and project.
- Intercompany Reconciliation and Strategic Projects: Support intercompany reconciliations with other entities and participate in strategic initiatives such as new SAP and BI tool implementations, driving process improvements.
- Audit Liaison and Deputy Responsibilities: Serve as the primary contact for external auditors regarding project-related financials and act as a mutual deputy with the Business Unit Controller.
Candidate Profile
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Controlling (University or FH).
- Experience: Over 5 years of experience in project controlling, ideally within an industrial setting, preferably in mechanical or plant engineering.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP FI/CO and PS (SD preferred), advanced Excel skills, knowledge of S/4HANA and Power BI as a plus.
- Languages: Fluent in both German and English, written and spoken.
