To lead this effort, Midea has created this new position for Structural Design Engineer for Refrigeration products. This position is full-time and will share the responsibilities outlined below.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
- Design and develop innovative cooling systems and technologies for built-in refrigerators, focusing on optimizing cooling performance, energy efficiency, and user experience.
- Conduct thermal analysis and simulations to evaluate and improve cooling system performance, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including mechanical, electrical, and embedded systems engineers, to integrate cooling technologies into product designs.
- Develop and execute test plans to validate cooling performance and identify opportunities for enhancements, using data to drive decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze product performance in the field, gathering feedback to inform future design iterations and improve user satisfaction.
- Stay current with advancements in cooling technologies and industry trends to ensure Midea remains at the forefront of innovation in refrigeration.
- Prepare technical documentation and reports to communicate findings and recommendations to internal stakeholders and management.
Qualifications:
- Minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Thermal Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in cooling system design or development, preferably in the home appliance industry.
- Strong proficiency in thermal analysis software and simulation tools.
- Solid understanding of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and heat transfer principles as they relate to refrigeration systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on data-driven analysis and decision-making.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, capable of working effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Fluent in English; knowledge of German is a plus.
