Job Summary:
Our Client is looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Logistics Specialist to join his team. The ideal candidate will have 1-3 years of experience in logistics or a related field. This role involves assessing, auditing, and proposing revisions to our logistics processes and organizational structure to enhance efficiency and standards. The Junior Logistics Specialist will work under the guidance of senior team members to identify and implement improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operational Assessment: Assist in evaluating current methods of operation, policies, and procedures to identify areas for improvement.
- Auditing: Support the auditing of logistics processes to identify inefficiencies and areas for enhancement.
- Proposals for Improvement: Help develop and propose revisions to forms, reports, material handling, equipment layout, and computer systems to boost productivity and standards.
- Organizational Structure: Assist in recommending changes to the organizational structure to eliminate duplication or overlapping functions.
- Policy Revision: Contribute to suggesting and implementing revisions to existing policies and procedures.
- Material Handling: Support the assessment and proposal of enhancements in material handling methods for better efficiency and safety.
- Reporting: Assist in preparing reports on audit findings and proposed changes, presenting them to senior management.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to ensure proposed changes align with overall company objectives and are implemented smoothly.
- Standards Improvement: Continuously seek ways to improve existing standards and practices within the logistics department.
- Compliance: Ensure all logistics processes comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
- Experience: 1-3 years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
Requirements:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
- Basic proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Fluent in German, with English being a plus.
- EU passport or a valid Swiss work permit is required.
