To support our customers in their usage, our After-Sales team is looking for a:


Linux Software Engineer (Customer Support)


General objective of the role

As an After-Sales Automation Technician or After-Sales Engineer at Ecorobotix, you will be a strategic communication point between our clients and our R&D teams. If you're a master at log analysis and troubleshooting, then this position is for you!


Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure remote diagnosis and technical support over these areas of expertise: control software Bash scripting in Linux OS, hardware elec/meca, and field applications
  • Assist in putting together support and troubleshooting technical documentation for both internal and external use
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure continuous improvement of our products, services, and workflows
  • Perform occasional customer on-site repairs : Travelling in EU one to five time per year for : specific customer support, distributor training or events


What your typical day looks like, every day will look completely different!

  • The job is following a seasonality. Spring/Summer time the main focus is to help our distributors on real support situations. Maintaining our customers up and running, to reach the best benefits out of our equipment.
  • While collecting precious information for the continuous product improvement. Few trips to see customers and dealers working on the real condition may happen. On this period, we have a close relationship with our distributors.
  • During winter time, the workload on live support is decreasing. It's time to conclude the season, and get ready for the next year. This, by improving and preparing documentation, train dealers or work on side projects linked to the continuous product and service improvement.
  • You will be evolving in a company where innovation and passion are key.


Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of hands-on experience in software development and logfiles analysis
  • Experience with Bash-scripting in Linux OS is a must have
  • Knowledge of Java and Python are a plus
  • B2 in English
  • Certified automation technician or engineer, or equivalent
  • Any knowledge of robotics, agricultural equipment, and practices is a plus

  • Handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines doesn’t scare you
  • You’re curious and love to tinker with all things electronics and/or mechanics
