Key Tasks and Responsibilities
As part of the team, you will have the following responsibilities:
- Supporting the Spacecraft Harness work package and the delivery of associated parts (hardware, models, documentation) in the BCD phases space programmes within the project teams and towards customers and partners;
- Contribute to the analysis of customer/mission requirements and derivation of higher-level requirements up to the harness requirements, contribute to the preparation of the harness requirements specification for the manufacturers;
- Collaboration in the definition of the wiring harness using the Engineering Base tool (from Aucotec), including:
- Definition of functional and physical electrical wiring: functional channels (FC);
- Definition of cables, wiring list creation of electrical drawings (block and wiring diagrams) consistency with other technical infrastructure;
- S/W engineering, electrical integration;
- Creation of exports to the wiring harness supplier(s);
- Contribute to the definition of the geometric wiring harness design in collaboration with Mechanical Engineering;
- Carrying out relevant analyses such as voltage drop, cable/connector derating, mass estimation;
- Co-engineering with the harness supplier(s);
- Participate in the coordination of the wire harness supplier(s) and wire harness procurement in collaboration with Supply Management;
- Follow up relevant design and MAIT activities at supplier level;
- Support relevant operational and AIT activities at system level;
- Contribute to relevant internal/external R&D and improvement/standardisation initiatives.
Skills & Experience
You will have the following qualifications and relevant experience:
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent;
- Initial experience in the development and manufacture of electrical interfaces and cable harnesses is desirable;
- Experience in space engineering is an asset;
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of another European language is an advantage.
